Privacy Policy for Popferno: Popcorn Defense
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Yoatech ("we," "us," or "the Publisher") handles information when you use Popferno: Popcorn Defense (the "Game") on Android or iOS.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller or business responsible for the Game is:
Yoatech
İstanbul, Türkiye
reply@yoatech.com
2. Information stored by the Game
The Game stores gameplay information locally on your device, including level progress, stars, settings, tower upgrades, and similar save data. We do not operate an account system or a cloud-save service for the current version of the Game, and we do not receive this local save data.
Local save data remains on your device until you clear the Game's data or uninstall the Game. Device backups controlled by your operating-system provider may retain a copy according to that provider's settings and privacy policy.
Google Play Games
Google Play Games sign-in and achievements are optional on Android; you can play without signing in. If you sign in, the Game reports achievements when you reach the level and star thresholds. Google may process gamer identity, achievements, account name, email address if discoverable, IP address, and device identifiers to provide game services. The Publisher does not keep Google account or achievement records on its own servers, and the Game does not offer cloud saves. See Google Play Games data practices and the Google Privacy Policy.
Optional gameplay analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
On Android, if you opt in at first launch, Google Analytics for Firebase processes screen views, level starts and results, earned stars, gameplay duration, rewarded retries, Play Games sign-in results, and achievement events. The SDK may also process an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system and app versions, session information, and a general region derived from your IP address. We use this measurement to improve levels and the gameplay experience.
Analytics is off by default. You can decline at first launch or turn Analytics off later in Settings. Your Google Play Games account name, email address, and player identifier are not sent to Analytics. Advertising-ID collection and ad personalization are disabled for Analytics; AdMob's separate data practices are described below.
Turning Analytics off stops subsequent events and resets local Analytics data; it does not automatically delete records already sent. Google Analytics reports are retained according to the configured retention settings. For questions or deletion requests about previously processed data, contact reply@yoatech.com. See Google's data practices.
3. Advertising and information handled by Google
The Game uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show:
- optional rewarded ads that may restore one failed wave; and
- occasional interstitial ads after campaign victories.
Gameplay does not require you to watch a rewarded ad.
When ads are available, Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information such as:
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location;
- device identifiers, including an advertising identifier where permitted by platform settings and consent;
- app and ad interactions, such as launches, taps, ad impressions, and video views;
- advertising data, such as ads shown to the device; and
- diagnostics and performance information, such as crash logs, launch time, hang rate, device model, operating-system version, and energy usage.
This information may be used for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and SDK performance. Google may share information with advertising partners involved in serving and measuring ads. Information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
Google acts under its own terms and privacy practices when it processes data through AdMob. For more information, see:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

4. Consent and privacy choices
Where required, the Game uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent or present privacy choices before requesting ads. You can reopen available privacy choices from the Game's Settings screen.
You may also limit or reset your device's advertising identifier and adjust ad-personalization settings in Android, iOS, or your Google account. Refusing personalized advertising does not remove all ads; it may result in non-personalized or limited ads.
5. Our purposes and legal grounds
Depending on your location, we and our service providers process the information described above:
- with your consent, where consent is required for personalized ads or related storage/access;
- to provide the Game and the optional ad-funded features you request;
- for legitimate interests in operating, securing, measuring, and improving the Game and preventing fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
You can withdraw consent through the in-game privacy choices where available. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
6. Information we do not ask you to provide
The Game does not directly ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, payment information, or user-generated content. If you optionally sign in to Google Play Games, Google may process account information as described in Section 2. We do not sell an account database because the Game has no account system.
7. Data retention
We retain no server-side player account or cloud-save record for the current Game. Local gameplay data is retained on your device as described in Section 2.
Google and other advertising participants retain the information they process according to their own policies, legal obligations, and product settings. We do not control their independent retention periods or hold their raw SDK-level data in a publisher database.
8. International transfers
Google and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those transfers are governed by Google's safeguards and privacy terms. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details.
9. Children's privacy
In Android production version 0.8.2 and later, a neutral age-group choice is stored only on the device and is not sent to Analytics or advertising services. Ads and gameplay Analytics stay disabled for players under 18 or whose age is unknown. Players aged 18 or older may use ads subject to the advertising privacy flow and may separately opt in to Analytics. Google Play Games remains optional for players aged 13 or older; it is disabled when the age is under 13 or unknown.
The Game does not request a player's name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or user-generated content. Where age-specific consent or advertising restrictions apply, advertising is limited or disabled as required by applicable law, platform settings, and the audience configuration used for the released version. Parents or guardians may contact us using the address below with a privacy question or request.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; withdraw consent; obtain a portable copy; or appeal a decision. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Because the Game does not maintain player accounts, we may need information about your device, platform, or ad interaction to direct a request to the appropriate service provider. We will not ask for more information than reasonably necessary to verify and handle a request.
To make a request, contact reply@yoatech.com. You may also use Google's privacy and advertising controls linked above.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Game. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game, its advertising setup, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the Game or through the store listing where appropriate.
